Corona Australis not a misc?

I could swear it was a misc man. Cause there was this one match I was in where I saw this one fellow with a Corona Australis with the Nebula effect. I was dazed cause as you know, that hat with that effect is like 3000+ keys, but when I checked his inventory, I did not see a Nebula Corona Australis, but a universal translator instead with the nebula effect so I just assumed that the Corona Australis was a misc, but when I got my own today I find that its not a misc at all! Was he like doing a glitch or something with the cosmetic system or something?

Yes there was a glitch where you could equip any hat with any other hat no matter misc or not. This was fixed tho.




Also please don't tell me you got the hat because of the first half of the name

Heck no man, I got it because I thought I could equip it with my Nebula Universal Translator

You can equip any other hat with a hat that is an "Whole Head" equip region. You can go to the Team Fortress 2 wiki to see what equip region that hat pertences.

When you open the game, equip the "Whole Head" hat, (Corona Australis if you are going to do it.) then open the console and put "+quickswitch", then press the "6" in your keyboard and find the other hat you want to equip (unusual, etc).

Back in time you could equip it with any hat you had, but now, only if its an Whole Head equip region
