What are sheens on items
I want to expand my tf2 inventory with good gear and stuff, and I really like the sheens I've seen people have on their items, but I'm not sure what they are, are they killstreaks? If I wanted a rocket launcher with a sheen would I look for a "Killstreak Rocket Launcher"? or is it a bit more complicated than that, please give an in-depth description explaining how these work as I'm very interested in these items and stuff

If you want a sheen on your weapon look for "Specialized killstreak", if you want a sheen on your eyes too look for "Professional killstreak".
there's 3 different kinds of killstreak that are basic, specialized, and professional

basic killstreak only counts kills
specialized counts kills and has a sheen
professional counts kills, has a sheen and glowing eye effect

ok, thank you for the help.
from what I can gather, 'Professional Killstreak' items are for hats and have a shine effect, 'Specialized Killstreak' is a sheen on weapons/items, and Killstreak just counts how many kills you've gotten on the weapon, is this correct?

Killstreaks do not count overall kills. They only count your current killstreak - so how many kills you have got in a row without dying. Killstreak weapons do not count overall kills, unless they are also strange.

All three types of killstreak are on weapons, not hats.

Killstreak weapons show how many kills in a row without dying.

Specialized killstreak also adds a sheen to the weapon.

Professional killstreak adds a sheen to the weapon and will give you a glowing eye effect when you're on a killstreak of five or more.
