What exactly was ‘The old, old equalizer’?

The oldest form of the equalizer used to give you the damage and speed boost without marked for death. However it's downside was NO medic healing, at all. Your medic couldn't even target you. No ubers, no healing. You could still heal from dispensers and health packs.

The old equaliser was basically the Escape Plan and current Equaliser combined. It was split into the two weapons we have today

Odd necro, but I was there to see this. A crit from the original equalizer could one shot an overhealed heavy at max damage - while still giving you a speed bonus close to scout.

Then the damage got nerfed to not do that, and then eventually they got split into two weapons a while after.

I'm pretty sure overhealed heavy was the only thing that antient equalizer couldn't kill with a single crit on very low health.

Looking at my old footage, the OG Equalizer did about 150 damage at the lowest possible HP. That's 450 HP upon a crit, the exact health of an overhealed heavy.

One of the clips had it do -154 so my guess is approximate.
