If y'all look at the work she is assigned to, all have one thing in common. They involve a huge amount of males and bloodshed. So if you think about it, maybe it's for the best. Imagine how well Miss Pauling would be able do her task if she was too busy thinking about Hale's arms or something to even properly respond in a verbal conversation. The unprofessionalism, it would be too much.

(Also for those who think that she actually isn't. I looked it up and did some research myself. When talking to Zhanna (after Zhanna and Soldier beats up several robots while being naked and covered in honey) she decided to shares a few secrets. Which never happened before. Why would she want to actually date any of the men she works with? They are lunatics, she is basically the only sane one who isn't crazy. In the comics she looks after them like a friend would even thought it's her job. You never see any kind of sexual tension between Paulling and any of the team, especially Scout.

We never know, but you're definitely going about it the wrong way. She could have a lover back at home, she could be Ace, but she takes her job seriously and would probably put it before any kind of relationship.
