How to walk in game? +how to spin heavy without hacking
I don't mean crouch walk and I don't mean the binding thing ppl do with +forward and a button or the mouse wheel - let me explain.

I've known this trick for years now, I forget where I picked it up I think I saw someone walking and asked how he did but I forgot how I set it up exactly. I assume it might be a default thing though because it has persisted through 3 PCs of mine, unless it carries over in the settings via my steam account, but idk if basic computer settings are carried over but anyway -

If I hold the ALT key, (Idk if it will still work if you use this key for something else but its not actually bound to anything to my knowlage.) and move my mouse like I would to aim, my character will "shuffle" across the floor very slowly, and almost go to a half run speed if I move my mouse really fast. They seem to move on a flat axis/grid, where if I push forward they go foward, backwards, back, etc and they move sideways left to right as if you were hitting A or D to strife.

I don't recall how I set this up, but I want to figure out how I did this because my friend saw it and tried to do what I did, hold alt and move his mouse, and he doesn't go anywhere, and his mouse just looks up and down and all around for aiming like it should. (mine does that as it should when NOT holding alt.)

Anyone heard of this before or know what's going on? Did I bind something and just can't rm how I did it? Or does it just not work on some keyboards/computers? Would like to figure it out if it is a bind which I'm figuring it might be, because my friend can't do it on his end.

Another thing I want to mention while I'm here, y'know how hacking heavies can spin and shoot their gun while moving and just fire all around and waste all their ammo? I figured out how to do that too without hacking. I'm an artist and I have a drawing tablet and it takes control of the mouse when I use it. For fun I was like, what if I use it for TF2. Turns out when using it in TF2 it makes my mouse go NUTS, I guess because where it locks to the middle of the screen, and all characters turn rapidly like hacking heavies, so go to heavy, press buttons to walk, and press button on pen to shoot, and I look like I'm hacking.

I stopped doing that for fear of actually getting VAC banned because it looks like hacking, but I do have to ask can they ban me for that or will Valve hear out my alibi that it was obtained with completely legit ways? I haven't altered the game code or anythings so can it be called hacking or will they hit me on grounds of an Exploit? Just wondering, not like I'd do it again anyway, makes it impossible to play.

TLDR:

How to walk when holding ALT and moving mouse?

Can I get banned for looking like I'm hacking when I'm actually not?
