How Would You Help New Players Understand TF2?
It's a secret to nobody that TF2 doesn't do a very good job at explaining it's core elements to new players. It doesn't help that there is an overwherlming amount of unlockable weapons, and it isn't very clear what they do unless you're experienced at the game. What implementations would YOU put in to solve this issue? I'll start off with a few of my own suggestions, then I want to hear yours

- implement loading screen tips into the loadout screen
- replace the messages on the billboard in the class selection screen with very basic descriptions of how to play the class you're hovering over.

EX: Spy - use your knife to stab the backs of unsuspecting enemies. use right click to turn invisible, use your disguise kit to blend in with your enemies!
EX No. 2: Soldier - the rocket launcher fires an explosive projectile at your enemies. For situations that require more accurate shots, use the secondary shotgun.

Well bringin New players to TF2 is not hard, but keeping them New in game is very hard

There are forums, youtubers, friends, practice mode, bots, different gamemode servers to practice on. If you weren't a kid like me who didn't know what he was doing and found out how to play the game the hard but not the very bad way, then you can use internet to find all the answers to how to play, not all, but the begineers elements.

Also add TF2 Highlander billboard or something like that in menu, to make competitive tf2 more known

Practice and training mode don’t teach you a lot of things, they don’t teach you anything about the airblast or about the ubercharge

the training mode only covers 4 of the available classes and has been broken for a while now. Not to mention, it's not very noticeable. The game doesn't alert new players to play it. Even assuming a new player DOES find it, it doesn't accurately cover the complexities of those classes. which a training mode should do. "you can sap sentries, oh and you can backstab people" works much better as text you read before picking spy, not as a functioning tutorial.

No other game realistically expects that to get better you view videos that aren't sourced by the actual developers. Even so, TF2 is a very challenging game so it needs a proper tutorial for newer players. Not to mention the game gets updated a lot so these video tutorials end up becoming outdated. Also, you're not contributing, please read the thread again

You don't, because this game doesn't worth their time.

apparently grammar don't worth your time. You shouldn't exclude new players from the game just because you don't like them. Without new players this game would be as dead as disco. That's why valve made this game free to play, to keep it populated.

You didn't read the OP. "What implementations would YOU put in to solve this issue?"
you're not contributing. I'm asking for features, not for what the community would do as individuals.

I know this is a joke response but this just might be the most reasonable response in the thread I've gotten so far.
