Team Fortress 2
The Conniver's Kunai is among Spy's worst knives (if not the worst)
The situations in which this weapon gets you killed far, far outnumber the situations in which this weapon actually does anything useful. If you get killed before getting the buff you might as well have used stock. If you get killed after getting the buff you might as well have used stock. If you get the buff but don't take damage before it runs out you might as well have used stock. If a Medic on either team heals you might as well have used stock. If you pick up a health kit you might as well have used stock. The only time this weapon ever actually does anything is if you get the buff, take at least 125 damage, and then don't die all without getting health from other sources. You're better off running the Big Earner (basically Kunai but way better) or stock.

Indeed, the Kunai is a deconstruction of melee weapons, which makes if Kafkaesque, or perhaps even Smuglesqueian. By being weakening himself, the gaijin can feel the struggle of glorious Nippon itself. He's meant to perform worse than other people using better knives in order to make his sick pubstomping montages be nothing personnal.

I use the kunai because it fits perfectly with my naruto cosplay, that fact alone makes it worth using

An acceptable usage.

the Kunai is basically a mini-dead ringer, and it's pretty good for escaping, you can get away with backstabbing a Medic near 2-3 enemies, and that alone is good enough reason to equip it.

If we want to talk about the worst Spy weapon, that would be the YER. It's upside is not very good (it's countered by communication, and people with even a modicum of awareness will notice the dropped weapons, the semi-faded corpse and the death state in the scoreboard), it's downsides are near-crippling (a reduced cloak is awful in all senses, and being unable to manually disguise for 90% of the match means you can't get anywhere close to a Sentry, Heavy or Pyro until you stab someone, and you can't use your revolver), and worst of all, it's mere existance holds Spy back. The Disguise Kit's buffs have been extremely minimal (the disguise speed buff that only got applied when you already have another disguise) to prevent this weapon from becoming even more useless than it already is. It's mediocre upsides should just be a basic part of how all Spy weapons work, and it should be reworked back into a silent cloak knife.

Big Earner does that way better.

I can't recall if it's still absurd in mannpower but the nerfs to spy in that mode overall kinda neutered spy overall (a good thing because spy is a top pick there)

its' power in normal play is vastly overestimated for sure but feeder weapons of any caliber are awful in terms of design
