Eureka Effect decreases teleporter cost. It's a tiny 25 now per teleporter, and only 100 metal to upgrade, which is insane, especially on 5CP maps where the spawn is constantly moving. You just place an exit, wait for it to build, recall to the new spawn, slap down the entrance to let it build itself, then teleport out to the finished exit all in a matter of seconds.
What's better is that the construction speed penalty only applies when first building something. Relocating it is not slower than another wrench, so you can easily deal with the slow speed at first, and then move that gear up to where it's more dangerous without issue.
I bet you just time travel back to when teleporter needed 125 metal before the update
And suddenly travel back to present and put the discussion
In other words, you are a time traveler
thank you for confirming this, i knew i wasn't crazy
