What are some bad aspects about Upward?
Upward is held in such high regard, and has probably the most fair playing field in the game, but what about the map has bad gameplay elements, underutilized class potential, or any other poor aspect of a good map. Throw at me legitimate criticisms of pl_upward.

imo it's one of the few maps where every class can always pull its weight, minus maybe scout on last but that's extremely common in payload maps and upward still has plenty of flank routes to work with (unlike idk, borneo)

worst aspects to me are sightlines (extremely common issue on payload maps) and the presence of a huge cliff, i dont really mind the last one but it makes possible some extremely cheesy plays
and i guess the door on the first forward spawn being broken, and another door being exploit food for engies

I only really hate it because it's the only map I can't play, any other maps I get 60+ fps and on that one it just drops to 12.

Also it's just the same people on that map

I also hate the design, otherwise I would play it if I could. Don't really care what maps I play

3rd point is pretty much just won based on whoever has the better sniper

its not a bad map but i dont queue for it in casual because i hate the people that play it

this scares me because upward is my favorite payload map. apparently the community unanimously hates it.
its a pretty good map at the first point, and a downward spiral after that.

i queue for badwater in the morning and take it off when kids get out of school
-sightlines for sniper
-chokes for demo
-skybox for soldier
-health and vertical flanks for scout
-shelves and ledges for engineer
-defendable areas for heavy
-cliffs for pyro
-alternate routes for spy
-open surfing space for medic

The last point bores me to tears. That's true of pretty much every payload map, but that doesn't make it ok, imo.
