Racist Names Should be banned or Profanity Filtered from Team Fortress 2

I feel with the amount of racist names of steam users in team fortress 2 is getting to a point now where it needs regulation I feel something should be done about it as there should be a zero tolerance policy to racism.

Even though I have reported dozens of steam accounts this cannot be ignored as they appear in the games kill feeds so its not easy to ignore at all and steam needs to have a filter system when you change names to make sure its nothing of an offensive nature.

I will also mention this Team Fortress 2 does not appear to have any rating displayed on their steam page, but the racist language can be a really bad influence on the younger player base who may be new to the game

I know for a fact that people don't pay attention to what the games certificate rating is and they could also get into trouble for using this language in the real world as it would be influenced in a very bad way.

Ask yourself do you really want to promote racism and hate or do you want to to the right thing and remove these offensive and discrimination describing words from steam for good as I can understand people doing it for a and changing their name joke but being took too far now.

its time the devs came back to this game and sorted things out for good because

1 they are letting crime run rife with an insufficient anti-cheat system

2 There's loads of scamming bots every game you join excessively spamming the in game chat system.

3 Racist language for for in game names is a big no go that can actually cause offence.

the way this game is being run by its devs is like running a country without laws and the amount of times I have seen racist names is beyond a joke and people using language of a racist nature in game in the chat is disgraceful.

I personally don't think we should censor people for holding views that we consider intolerable. I think people have a right to be racist, even though I don't agree with it.

I'll argue all day in a pub with someone about why they shouldn't have a racist name, but I'll never vote to kick them or ban them from the server.

TOTALLY agree. all the 12 year olds use racist / trolling names. screenshot their names, and their profiles that are linked to the name, and report them. i do the same thing, they get banned. its quite satisfying

If its a racist user name, its a steam issue not a TF2 issue.
