How Many Report you need to get someone banned?

You know the Upward Exploit?The Red Spawn?
I'm afraid that today a group of party using that exploit, and me being me immediately type in chat asking them to stop. and they dont stop. someone one in my team do the same, i try to kick him but didn't work. the other team is mad and start to threat to report the entire blu team.
i'm just scared that, the report will get me banned somehow. i love tf2 and don't wanna make second account for it. i just want clarity :)

you aren't gonna get banned, and unles they are cheating, they probably wont get banned. I mean, they might if you sent evidence and reported them to steam with that evidence, but otherwise no, Your good. You cannot get banned based just off reports

You wont get banned trust me. reports are unlikely for people to get banned

Can't say off hand. I've gotten a hacker banned in a single match when his team wouldn't kick him/her by having my team report him though.

There is difference between vac ban and matchmaking ban

Reports will result in matchmaking ban that make you banned from causal, i don’t know how many reports i think it’s 100

Wasn't really trying to state it was a VAC Ban. It gets the person removed from the match and temporarily doesn't allow them to play casual though.

The only real difference between exploiting and cheating is that you can't get banned for exploiting.

The only real difference between exploiting and cheating is that you can't get banned for exploiting. :calm_creep:

Not VAC banned at least... matchmaking bans can still happen to my knowledge though...

Got a friendly removed from a match with the same message afterwards after we reported a friendly for griefing after they started attacking us for killing them a few times.

I send one proper report for each person that is actually cheating in the game. Next time or couple days later I get notification that they've received a matchmaking ban.
