Team Fortress 2
Is Dragon's Fury a Flare Gun in disguise?
Look at the stats. Flare does Crits on burning peeps. And a crit is the normal damage multiplied by 3 Right? And Dragon's Fury has a stat that triples the damage if theres a burning enemy

It's worse because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up fireball hitboxes. And yeah, triple damage is affected by damage falloff so mostly you'll see numbers of damage around 75.

If you get kritkrieg, you get x9 damage, wich is crazy

Actually, it deals 3 times less dmg to non burning targets.

That's the reason it deals 75 to buildings.

But still, you have to aim perfectly for max dmg

It's still a flame-thrower, don't mistake it for anything that requires real aim or has real drawbacks for missing like a Flare Gun

less dps for missing seems like a drawback.
I would strongly consider using DF as a weapon if it didn't have sch crap airblast that ruins the entire weapon both on a conceptual level and in gameplay.

You're doing more damage than stock flamethrower, and at slightly longer range.
In trade for basically taking away Pyro's most important aspect. Ngl not worth it.

If they're gonna make me wait that long before airblasting, at least not have it screw over the entire weapon's functions. You're pretty much defenseless/dead if you airblast in any sort of exchange.

Getting kk on a fury pyro will only make fireballs deal a flat 75 damage iirc

No because flare guns are actually good

The Dragon's Fury is incredibly underpowered. It basically is like a flare gun but with a limited range, faster projectiles and worse damage. Sure, it might do more damage than the stock flamethrower, however, its airblast is so incredibly bad, you'd be better off just using anything but the Dragon's Fury combined with the Flare Gun.

gonna have to agree, as insane as the dps is it DOES require you to aim a little bit....as pyro, thats a big step forward.

Yah but if a medic has any sense not to crits krieg a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pyro(seriously a spy is better target for crits, stop gviing it to me Thomas), then you left with a weapon that has more insanely strict views on what hitting a target means(anything but a dead on hit to the torso with the entire projectile connecting does like no damage), damage that can be replace by a flare gun, range that’s worse than a flare gun, and airblast worse than stock in every way.

Honestly this thing is a straight downgrade to stock In every way.
