Heavy fooled Soldier into thinking that USA united the entire world and everyone is from USA, and “other countries” are just stubborn rebels. So definitely Heavy.

Soldier. He has mobility and distance, while Heavy is slow, and has a sandwich.

In a 1v1 Heavy, his minigun pretty much grounds Soldier. Then again Heavy can pretty much 1v1 every class.

Soldier, unless the heavy catches the soldier off guard in a inclosed area, basically a situation which wont happen the soldier can either 1. jump away to get health and then come back, 2. spam directs around a corner to kill the heavy. Unlike heavy, soldier is a class that can actually succesfully disengage from a fight if he choses to. Heavy on the other hand, in almost all situations has to commit to the fight as he's too slow of a class in order to really get away in time.

this isn't a megathread attempt, i just wanted to hear what others have to say about who is better in general, not in their own situations, in a general situation where both classes combat on the game's term, not their own terms.

VS ..................... no but really i belive if they both had stock and they had to capture the inteligence it would be soilder since he would rocket jump across the map shoot rockets at the nest that may be there leave shoot and one else coming after him with rocket launched or shotgun and get the intell ........ but if it was capping the control point heavy since when he stands on it the incoming enemy like a pyro would just be shot down if he runs out of ammo and theres a enemy scout he would just take his shot gun and shoot him and when he runs out of that he could use his fists and hurt some people then cap

Soldier's more useful all round since he's a jack-of-all-trades, but both classes are good at what they do.
