Tiny confusion regarding spy and Scout's mom

In Meet the spy, it's said that RED spy hits on BLU scout's mom.

But in the comics, the game itself and what not, RED scout's mom is being hit on by both BLU and RED spy. (RED because of comics, and BLU because of the "off to visit your mother" line)

Do RED scout and BLU scout share the same mom who is being hit on by both RED and BLU spy?

Or

Do RED scout and BLU scout have two identical mothers each being hit on by two identical spies where one of them is cheating on both?

All of this is difficult to wrap my head around.

Red mercs are the same people as blu mercs, without being the same person at the same time. Basically, all scouts (or other classes) are the same person, but also aren't because you can have multiple scouts in the same game.
Just like how overwatch has 2 distinct teams in the lore, yet you can have people from both teams working together to fight themselves or other people from either and both teams.

Blu team is a depiction of the apposing red team for in game purposes, I believe in the comics the have different siloutes in one of them. They play and look similar but they aren't the same people, and in reality they are different people.

Essentially the main joke is that Blutarch found a set of 9 mercenaries that look just like the opposing team of 9 mercs made by Redmond. It's never been stated how BLU operates in detail, as the focus is mainly on the RED team.

The general fan interpretation is that BLU team is massively bumbling and incompetent, but thats not established lore.

What makes it yet more confusing is that BLU and RED merged during the events of MVM, although it seems RED Spy is the father of RED Scout.

RED is by default the characters. BLU just uses color swaps of their clothes to make the game work.

To extend on others statement, BLU is just like Doomsday from DC, a plot device. In what way and wether or not they exist at all is defined by the writes, the only thing being established is that members from both teams have merged into the MVM crew, their counterpart (wether or not thats on RED or BLUs side) does not exist in that concept but does at the same time.

*another thing worth saying is that in some cases BLU can also exist as a bunch of agents and security teams, instead of being the BLU team we understand it as. (Most prominent example would probably be the Expiration Date SFM, where they do technically kill all the BLUs except for 7, which logically even if Soldier did the counting wouldnt make sense with them departing since that would mean they essentially only killed 2 people)

I understand that BLU team and RED team are different people, but it becomes messy when it comes to scout's mom and her affiliation with spy, which is the topic I want to discuss.

In the Meet the Spy video, it's RED spy that is hitting on BLU scout's mom. But for some reason, in the comics, RED scout's mom is being hit on by RED spy as well. Furthermore, in the game itself, BLU spy still says the line "well, off to visit your mother" to RED scout. That means RED scout's mom is being hit on by both RED and BLU spy.

If we piece together everything, it seems that RED scout and BLU scout's mom are being hit on by BLU spy and RED spy respectively, where RED spy is cheating on both the moms. But in the story they treat the RED mercs and their BLU counterparts as if they're the same entity. BLU scout's mom suddenly becomes RED scout's mom for some reason.

In addition, does the identical person but different people thing also extend to the mercenaries' families? Because we see that BLU scout and RED scout's mom look the exact same. Do they share the same mom?

They're not, not in terms of blood. And spy hasn't successfully hitched up to become scout's stepdad yet.

Yes, he is scouts biological father. In the comic the naked and the dead ( http://www.teamfortress.com/tf06_thenakedandthedead/#f=163 ) spy says that 27 years ago he dropped a "sex bomb" on scouts mom and then ran away and then talked about how its finally caught up to him. Spy also knows scouts real name and straight up called him son on ( http://www.teamfortress.com/tf06_thenakedandthedead/#f=166 )


So I mean.

If I recall correctly, the people on BLU had to don RED attire because Engy couldn't (or was too lazy to) recalibrate his sentry to be passive, which is a joke off of the MvM beta testers being dumb as rocks and shooting their teammates due to team color.

Back ot the main topic, it's not hard to believe that either Spy or Scout donned RED's clothing and that's how it was set up.
