i mean, being a pocket is still being a detriment if you're not healing anyone who actually needs it.
Even Medic bots (the tfbots, not the robot medic) can still heal people and not be a detriment to their team.
But honestly, if you wanna pocket your soldier/heavy/demo boyfriend, go for it, i'm not stopping you.
also guys consider the medic to be their supportive "partner" who depends on and cares for them while they are the "breadwinner" leader who is getting the kills and defending them.
medics, regardless of the player behind the screen, typically just ignore this term and do their job.
some take to being courted by battle classes like a bird to the sky, while others don't like the treatment and consider it derogatory.
And now whenever people see someone being pocketed (mostly as a joke) they say that that person has a medic gf.
if it is, most medics have gotten used to being kicked around by now, by their own team and the enemy team.
think of it as the medic's version of "w+m1 pyro" or "trolldier." it's just a codename for a player that is clinging to 1 class.
