GIF spray not working
ive prepared a gif spray, now saved in vtf form, but in game it just shows as a static image, what gives? did i do something wrong?

yes, i think so anyway, it uses the same filename as the vtf

actually i see the problem its 640kb, the limit is 512 if i know my stuff, crap

say does anyone know how to cut a vtf file down to size? its stuck at 640kb

maybe cut some frame if thats possible? otherwise making the resolution slightly lower should help

i reduced it to 128x128, it works but now it looks like crap...sigh i was almost happy

you can reduce file size of a vtf file in a few ways

- reduce resolution
- reduce amount of animation frames
- don't generate mipmaps
- don't use transparency
- use a compression format like DXT1
