Is the TFC engineer the TF2 engineers dad?

No, engineer’s father name is Radigan Conagher and it isn’t “Fred”. And engineer’s father have a robot arm (gunslinger), 2 legs intact, have Australia shaped chest hair and mustache (australium exposure) and is confirmed that he died of old age in the comic “Loose canon”. They most likely retconned the tfc engineer we see later in the comics. I'm guessing his father died and then Fred replaced him. It doesn't make much sense otherwise. Engineers father could probably still help the administrator with the life extending machine, why waste such an useful person?
