First of all:
I know there are alot of 'solutions' out there. But none of them worked for me.

So, tf2 isn't downloading maps. Whenever I try to join a community server that is using a custom map it doesn't download the map at all and gives me a message stating
"Missing map maps/filename.bps, Disconnecting"
Here is a list of 'solutions' I've tried:

1. Uninstalling the game/deleteing all game files
2. Deleting the 'maps' folder
3. Deleting all maps inside the 'maps' folder
4. Verifying game files
5. Turning on 'Allow all custom files from server'
6. Turning on 'Only allow map files'
7. cl_allowdownload 1
8. cl_downloadfilter all
9. Turning off Steam Cloud for tf2
10. Turning off Steam Cloud in general

And here is a list of solutions that don't work out for me:

1. Downloading the maps manually (because the servers I like to play on have a very rapid map rotations)
2. Contacting Steam Support (cuz they don't help for♥♥♥♥♥♥

(I might have forgotten to list a few)
Does anybody else know an solution to this problem?
NOTE: I have played on these servers many many times before.

That server might not have FASTDL setup properly to download maps. Dunno, never had your problem.

I'm not really a computer guy, I have no idea what a FASTDL setup is :/
Forgot to mention that I have played many times on those servers before in the past

The host needs to set it up, not you.

Did you ever fix this problem

No, technically never fixed it because I eventually got a new pc with a new hard drive which fixed whatever was wrong at that time.
But since getting a new pc worked for me, you could try doing a hard wipe of tf2's game files.

First uninstall the game normally, then go to:
Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Team Fortress 2
Delete anything that's left in the "Team Fortress 2" folder.
Then, go to:
Program Files (x86) > Steam > userdata >[Account ID]
Delete the folder named "440" (Before you do this I recommend backing up your tf2 config file which is located in: 440 > remote > cfg)
Once you're done you can reinstall the game again.

If that doesn't work then I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that Steam itself might be the culprit. Otherwise, I'm sorry, I don't know.
