Monster bash blades broken?
Whenever I want to go through the blades and although I make sure they don't touch me, I still get stopped for a brief second only to get instant killed.
It looks like there's an invisible kill hitbox there.

They are broken. What worked for me (when playing heavy) was jumping right when these blades were in front of me.

Yes, they do seem to have a 1-second delay. If you jump when you can't see it, then you will be fine.
