( I may have missed something here so feel free to let me know if I did)
My personal ranking:
1: Control Points
2: Payload
3: King of the Hill / Attack Defend
(I can't make up my mind here because both modes suffer a lot when imbalance between the Teams are in effect)
4: Payload Race
5: Control Points (Standin)
6: Capture the Flag
- I am biased against point-based objectives, admittedly.

It really depends on the map, though. I like Granary better than Lakeside, Barnblitz better than Egypt, etc.
Payload - maps are the largest and best fit for 24 players works well
King of the hill - a simple to understand mode which allows newer players to play the objective
Attack and defense - a lot like payload however maps such as junction and steel drag this mode down. Junction because it’s garbage and steel because new players don’t understand the layout
3cp - underrated imo but still lacking in map design
5cp - it’s flaws show quite a bit when the player count is doubled and there’s no class limits
Special delivery - at least people attempt to play the objective
Payload race - not a bad concept of a game mode but Hightower regulars weigh this mode down a lot in terms of reputation and actual gameplay
Capture the flag - bad maps bad players leads to bad experience
Medieval - if you like a game to be decided on lag and random Crits, this is the mode for you
Pass time - never been able to get into a match of this so yeah... videos of it make the game mode look like garbage
Mann power - actually the worst gamemode in this entire game its a complete unbalanced mess

(Ignoring that TF2 made most of these gamemodes-)
Attack and defense will always remain close to my heart, it's simple, but oh so fun.
Arena, it just works.
Payload, unique and just fun.
Capture Point, simple, but very well executed.
King of the Hill, just not my cup of tea.
Capture the Flag, the best place to goof around. Otherwise the gamemode is meh.
Control Points(Standin), unique, i don't like it.
Payload Race, a good idea. Just not well executed.
if you get queued into something like sunshine and luck out a decent number of mgelords or competitive players on both teams, it can be pretty good
