Team Fortress 2 has its toxicity, but it's not a "big self-righteous circlejerk" because of comparisons to other games. The only circlejerk going on is the circlejerk surrounding the most low-risk/high-reward class in the game.
Do i smell clickb8?
And by the way, I want to draw a distinction from the community and individual tf2 players.
Individual TF2 players are like any other gamers, it depends on the person.
But when you group them together, they start to make cliques and very much enjoy circle jerking. Everyone is in their own little bubble in this game.
