They should really just revert the blast radius nerf. The weapon was pretty well balanced before that. The deviation nerf did it's job at long ranges while at short ranges the old blast radius would generally cover shots that were well aimed even at max deviation RNG. As a result it was a Rocket Launcher with a much smaller effective range (which could be dealt with by learning to overload jump) but longer sustainability. Now, even if your close range shot is well aimed, it's much more likely that the deviation and reduced blast radius will line up to cause an unwarrented miss introducing a lot more RNG into the weapon.
