Team Fortress 2
The Backburner is OP.
To be honest, I just think it's way too easy to get kills with. It should be mini crits from behind, not full crits.

No, I do not always get killed by The Backburner and whine about it. I have The Backburner, and that's in fact what I usually use on Pyro. It's just way too easy to use, as shooting a player from behind is usually what Pyro does.

As I said, it should be mini crits, not full crits.

Pyro doesn't have invis watch or portable teleport to get behind enemies that easy. He has loudy jetpack with really long switch time, even this doesn't make backburner op. And for decent players Increased airblast cost is pretty big downside.

I think the Syringe Gun is OP, myself. Halve the damage please.

do people really run into you butt-first more often than they put you in a situation where 3 airblasts aren't enough?

The backburner is already pretty situational, so don't nerf it so its worse at the main situation where it needs to be useful. In other words, keep its back crits.

Guys, I think all of the weapons are op, can Valve just remove all of them?

Scattergun is OP, replace it with Shortstop
Rocket Launcher is OP, replace it with Liberty Launcher
Etc.
giving easy kills with easy weapons on an easy class makes it unbalanced, what? get outta town

p.s. little known fact in tf2 you walk 10% slower when moving backwards, so there is no escape unelss you walk away at a weird strafe angle, which due to flame hit ♥♥♥♥ will still probably crit you in the back

the part where they're easily preventable is lost on you, i see.

you do know that the backpedalling penalty only applies when [s] is the only movement-key you're holding, right? if you can't navigate in a way that negates it yourself, i can write a script that does it for you lol

I think crits from behind are fine. But the reflect debuff should be removed and replaced with a shortage of back hitbox when rendering for the backburner. And a damage penalty would make it so it overall takes more skill to get crits with and cant W+M1.
The Crits angle is 90 degree, this is already in the fine state. Unlike phlog.

Backburner is honestly the 2nd most balanced flamethrower, behind stock.

Crits from behind are powerful in certain situations, but 50 ammo airblasts is a very serious downside, as normally for any pyro to get close, they need to be prepared to deal with projectiles.

Honestly it needs a slight buff to make it on par with the Degreaser and Stock, I would make the airblast 40 ammo instead of 50.

The one thing that makes it stronger than normal is the Parkinson's pyro mechanics. The changes to Blue Moon flames are irrelevant when you are dealing critical damage. You can spray into a crowd and get free crits even if you aren't behind them. It's really wonky.

the part where there is no winning unless you're 2 feet away from a health pack/medic if you're ever set on fire seems to be lost on you

that's what i already said u drongo

To be fair, most people that use backburner are people who look for free crits when somebody tries to retreat.

are crits actually exempt from the damage ramp? because they're still subject to liftime-based damage fall-off.
