How do i install a custom crosshair?

I really tried for the past 2 hours installing a custom crosshair and i have failed.. Same with hitsounds, i have no clue how to install one.
This is the crosshair i'm trying to install:

I think you just have to put the crosshair files in your custom folder, some crosshairs however are broken due to updates.
