Gib kills question

I want to get gib kills on my grenade launcher, but what does it track and how? I know it tracks gibs, but what differentiates a gib from a regular kill?

A weapon gibs when the damage it deals is at least 10 greater than the remaining health of the target.
So the grenade launcher will gib anyone with 90 or less health.

Mini/crits always gib.

So direct pipes deal 100 but if it kills a 100 hp scout? And the same with rollers/splash dmg?

If it kills the 100 HP scout it'll just turn the scout into a flying ragdoll

Rollers/splash follow the same rules as direct explosives, any damage equal to or greater than current HP + 10 will gib a player
