Can I get the mercenary badge back?
A year ago, when my account was free, I accidentally deleted my mercenary badge. Is it possible to return it now? Write somewhere, or something?

You can ask steam support, but i doubt they`ll restore it.

Nahhh, because it will mess up the tf2 economy.

(Even though the item is untradable, has no value, and has no purpose)

Actually you can ask steam support to restore achievement items. But only a few people asked (because they didn’t just achieve_idle their way to the items). And Steam support have better things to do.

We shouldn't let this distract us from the fact that Thor should've gone for the head

They're not going to give your stuff back if you're stupid enough to click "Trade", then also "I agree this is a gift". That's you being loose with your items.

Untradable items like the Merc Badge or other legitly obtained achievement items aren't going to break anything, so they have no problem making exceptions like this.

Well yea ik how it works lol. My problem is that they could've atleast locked my items or his account because the evidence was right in there faces.

Idk about you but "HAHA GET SCAMMED, ♥♥♥♥ OFF" is enough evidence to prove that I got scammed. And what did they do to the person?

Oh I know, NOTHING

You actively gave their items away without getting anything in return. Steam Support isn't going to chase someone down because you decided to click "I am giving this as a gift" when accepting a trade without getting what you were expecting from the other user.

They're not here to hold your hand because you didn't think your actions through.

I get your point. But ur clearly not understanding my point.

Instead of steam banning or locking his account to stop the user from scamming more people, they dont do anything! Who knows, the kid could have scammed other people and if they took it seriously I could have not gotten scammed of 100+ items. (Which yes I was retarded for doing)

Basically when steam says "We cant do anything for ur items" it translates (with common sense) to "lol get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the only way to get ur items back is to keep unboxing crates lolllolo

Steam support isn't where you report something like this. That's why they didn't do anything.

Actually they stopped doing it because people were abusing it by getting "scammed" by a random alt account of their own that wasn't connected to their main account, crying "I waz scamed!", then getting a duped version of their unusual, as well as their actual unusual.

And also the whole "Let's not destroy the economy because people are dumb".

I definantly agree with that, people can be ♥♥♥♥♥ and ruin things up. But if theres people like me who are still crying, something must be done.

They could have checked there IP Adresses, Account name, address, etc! But as always, they never take the time
Well, guys, I already wrote to the Steam support service. And they returned my badge.
