(Even though the item is untradable, has no value, and has no purpose)
They're not going to give your stuff back if you're stupid enough to click "Trade", then also "I agree this is a gift". That's you being loose with your items.
Untradable items like the Merc Badge or other legitly obtained achievement items aren't going to break anything, so they have no problem making exceptions like this.
Idk about you but "HAHA GET SCAMMED, ♥♥♥♥ OFF" is enough evidence to prove that I got scammed. And what did they do to the person?
Oh I know, NOTHING
You actively gave their items away without getting anything in return. Steam Support isn't going to chase someone down because you decided to click "I am giving this as a gift" when accepting a trade without getting what you were expecting from the other user.
They're not here to hold your hand because you didn't think your actions through.
Instead of steam banning or locking his account to stop the user from scamming more people, they dont do anything! Who knows, the kid could have scammed other people and if they took it seriously I could have not gotten scammed of 100+ items. (Which yes I was retarded for doing)
Basically when steam says "We cant do anything for ur items" it translates (with common sense) to "lol get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the only way to get ur items back is to keep unboxing crates lolllolo
Steam support isn't where you report something like this. That's why they didn't do anything.
Actually they stopped doing it because people were abusing it by getting "scammed" by a random alt account of their own that wasn't connected to their main account, crying "I waz scamed!", then getting a duped version of their unusual, as well as their actual unusual.
And also the whole "Let's not destroy the economy because people are dumb".
They could have checked there IP Adresses, Account name, address, etc! But as always, they never take the time
