can't change viewmodel settings

Do the command but nothing happens. Also tried on local server with cheats and it still wouldn't change.

For reference i'm typing:

fov_desired 90

viewmodel_fov 90

I found that rebooting my game fixed it. If this doesn't help people who also have the same issue i'm sorry.

I believe ever since Meet Your Match, viewmodels are locked at 90 FoV in casual and competative. You have to use the minimized viewmodels setting. It's probably in advanced settings.

Guys can anyone help because I activated sprays and it changed my for back to default so I tried changing it back and it doesn’t work so I’m stuck with the bad default fov

Find the setting in your config file, change them and set your config file to read only.

If your using mastercomfig, you need to change the values in that too.

In the main menu there should be 2 gear icons. Click on the one with the plus on it. There you should scroll down and find view model settings. Including view model fov, and minimizing them but they arent very organized well. But fov_desired does nothing to your viewmodel. Just your fov. Go into the other gear icon. Click on video, then advanced. Here you can turn up your fov. Turn it up, then click ok, then click apply. If it still doesnt work i dont know how to help.
