Yes, Valve is slowly but surely finding a way to protect TF2 from those so called "lag bots", though it may take some time.

they spam voice commands, and for some stupid reason spamming voice commands every tick lags the server

Today One player did a vote against lagbot8 (is it already ver. 8?) and all votes in game are suspended.

You get ddos attack on Public servers just turn on ddos attack in your router firewall and stay off Public servers the server can run exploits.

It's not unplayable if you just avoid the servers they go on. I haven't encountered a single one.

I want to play what I WANT, not what the bots dont attack... (and eventually want you to play) thats a stupid argument! The problem affects the game, not the maps.

Where I live they mostly go to A/D servers, specially Dustbowl (the irony).
