What does "removed from match by system" mean?

I see this happening quite often, why would the system remove the player?

That means they switched from one match to another on the fly.

For instance you're in a match A then you search for another one (let's call it match B), to join the other match B, the system will disconnect you from the previous server you were on (in this case match A).

they queued for another game mode, like MvM or comp while already in a game. When the mvm/comp game is ready, the system puts them in that server, removing them from the old one.

Im going to necro post to this thread because I just had this happen to me and I wasnt even queued for anything. I smacked an engi's teleporter with a sword and it removed me from the match.

I switched from one match to another on the fly all the time win a match end and players vote on a map that I do not want to play.

Except, I've been removed from a match, often when doing very well, and not been queued for another match, under the 'removed from match by system'. And it appears to be happening a lot lately.

It can also mean they got votekicked.

for the people not queued, it sometimes happens because certain bots votekick random people hoping they don't check who's being kicked. RIP
