So why did they change the Panic Attack?
It was a fun little situational gimmick beforehand, but now it's just another stat change, why did they change it from what it was originalyl?

i'm not sure.

it used to be the shotgun version of the beggar's bazooka, but now it's basically the stock shotgun.

i still like the way it looks though, i wish there were real life shotguns that look like that

There are two types of people: those who dislike the nerf, and those that don't use the Panic Attack.

i'm actually not sure if the changes even buffed or nerfed it.

the old one was high rate of fire, but less shots, and the new one is low rate of fire, but more shot

Now it's not a gimmicks and is pretty good in some situations. It's like a multiclass scattergun.

Because the only thing that could be remotely competitive to a Sandvich is a shotgun without holster time

Fixed spread isn't new? I mean, as far as non-console commands go.

The original mechanic was flawed, and there was no reason to stick to it. Better to be simple yet functional, rather than gimmicky and useless.

It was a pretty useless gimmick which required a very passive playstyle where you camp corners and dump a ton of burst damage. It was only half decent on engineer really, since he's a passive class to begin with.

He can. Pair it with the FoS and go around tanking shots and responding with switch fires between their shots.

well i know WHY they changed it, to encourage more people to use it.

but i'm not sure why WHAT they changed is what they changed.

I think it does more damage in a shorter amount of time, but does less damage over a long amount of time.
