Lost one and went down a rank
Then won five in a row and still havn't come back to where I was before I dropped a rank.
And I did fine in the game I lost too.
Also im pretty sure my mmr was like 1227, now its 1500 but im still at merc III when I used to be at contract killer 1 with 1227.
Im wondering if the actual matchmaking is broken or if it's just showing the wrong ranks to people.
1. Before the last game it told me that I would rank up if I won it.
Which I find weird because I would think that it would depend on the MMR that I achieved.
2. After winning I went from merc III up to contract killer III. So I skipped the other contract killer ranks. So I'm guessing that if you win a certain amount of MMR/win a certain number/ratio of games, then it recalculates your placement and you jump ranks suddenly.
This might explain the MMR inconsistancies because some people just havn't reached the point where their rank will get recalculated so they are temporarily at a rank that doesn't make sense for their mmr.
I think it's also trying to balance MMR around ranks so most people will always be in middle ranks
Edit: I just checked my rank and I deranked without even playing lol
I had Expert Assasin I and dropped to Executioner III. So yeah, maybe this whole system is dynamic and now you need more MMR to be Expert Assasin I than I have right now.
