Team Fortress 2
Removing a config entirely
I'm wanting to remove a custom config that I installed because it disables some keyboard commands and sets automatic reload by default everytime I launch the game, but I don't how how to do it properly.

I have the vanilla configs saved on a backup folder, so how do I remove the custom config, re-add the old one, and make sure that the game reads it everytime I launch it?

or this
Delete config.cfg and remove custom files if you have them and Verify Steam Cache and disable steam cloud leave disable for 24 hr this will reset you game setting to default.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\24787237\440\remote\cfg
config.cfg

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg
config.cfg

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom

Verify Steam Cache

Okay, here is what you need to do restore tf2 to it's default settings:

disable tf2 syncing with the steam cloud
delete the "cfg" folder in the /tf directory
remove anything in the custom folder
in tf2s launch options, put "-autoconfig" (make sure you take this out when you finish)
start tf2

The game should now be set to all default settings. Come back and let me know how it goes for you.

Literally just delete your tf folder, verify the integrity of your game files, and put -autoconfig in your launch options

It is easy, first go to your files Windows(C:)/Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf then delete the folder called "cfg" and then delete everything that is inside the "custom" folder, after that go to your steam library and right click in team fortress 2, and select properties, then go to launch options and type the command "-autoconfig" make sure there is an space between each command if you have more commands in your launch options, once the command is on there just open tf2 and you will no longer have the config installed.
