Is ctap really that important?

Some days ago my frd who is a good solly main taught me ctap and im still practising it.
It is very hard to perfectly ctap every time and the angle is even harder to control.
I am wondering if it is really that important to know how to do it?

It's a rocket jumping trick that allows you to rocket jump even higher, it can be useful in some situations
