What sv_pure do valve servers use?
I know i'm posting a lot of discussions but google isn't helping.

When joining a casual server. In console do i use the following: sv_pure -1, sv_pure 0, sv_pure 1, sv_pure 2? Because i want to use animations in casual but not working

sv_pure 2 meaning "blocks all mods"? Besides huds and hitsounds

Using animation mods in casual is pretty easy. When you load into the game, type in map_itemtest into the console. After you load into that map, you can then use the animations in casual. You will have to use that command every time you enter the game in order for the animations to function in valve servers.

You can figure out any setting that a server uses by passing the relevant command without any parameters.
Typing
sv_pure
will return the current value the server uses.

open up console, "sv_pure -1", "map (whatever map you want)" disconnect, then play a valve game with custom animations

mechawreck used to have a tutorial on how to do it, it was actually pretty good
poor lad :(

Use the console commands on the server to see sv_pure
valve servers use

The server is using sv_pure 1. (Custom pure server rules.)

no, valve servers use sv_pure 1, they block mods on a blacklist made by the server owner.

open up a singleplayer map before joining casual, your animations should work then (via typing [map plr_hightower] in the console

When you can make mods that allow you to see the enemy through walls or give cloaked Spies different textures, it's safe to assume that it's easier to outright disable mods rather than individually ban them.
