Why is the soldier so obsessed with hats?
recently watching some tf2 parodies on yt, have the soldier depicted as a dude obsessed with hats. after googling i still couldnt figure it out why tho. is there some canon story?

It may have something to do with traders often main Soldier. And the lore is most likely not involved.

It's more like a meme for soldiers.... too coincidental meme
1. Alot of the Traders are Soldier Mains
2. RubberFruit Freak, being a personification of a Scammer
3. Most latest one being Because on 4chen, there was a pokemon thread and someone lost a battle and didn't have any money, so they offered sexual favors in return, but then Soldier wanted their hat which evolved further
