Regarding Valve's Decision on the Crate Depression

What people who exploited the glitch got:
Free profit or at worst basically a free unusual.

What people who didn't exploit the glitch got:
Nothing besides devalued Unusuals if they own any.

I don't know about you, but if Valve likes exploiters more than non-exploiters, I'm gonna become an exploiter. God bless your souls, Trader mains. :happy_creep:

Well, since Valve isn't awarding anything to the good boys, I shall do what Soldier did and award myself a badge by trading an all-class badge item and renaming it to
"The Self-Awarded Good Boy Badge"

Yeah,what kind of dumb ♥♥♥♥ thought that rewarding the exploiters would be a good idea?Next time everyone will abuse a exploit like this one because they aren't gonna be any consequences

A few of you were concerned that you had done something wrong by opening a bugged crate, and proceeded to delete your hats. While we appreciate the concern, you didn't do anything wrong, so hats from bugged crates deleted before the tradable date will be restored to your accounts with the same restrictions described above.

It was such an incompetent error on Valve's part that they deserve some inconvenience and loss, and players exploiting it. I didn't exploit it but I say well done to those that did. I have a few unusuals but as I never intend to trade the valuable ones away, I'm not bothered about their value. I've had them a while and things do depreciate.

I feel sorry for traders though that have kept this game alive for so long. This solution won't be a good outcome for them and they deserve better in my opinion. Let's see what level of harm this does to the economy.

To be completely honest here, I think Valve should actually award whoever was strong enough to delete the hats.
♥♥♥♥ who didn't exploit it.
♥♥♥♥ who did.

Deleting high-tier hats takes more balls then any of the above.
