One good video game, or a couple of them, that can entertain you for as long as you allow it, is better than any material wealth you can acquire in just one specific game.

But if you must spend it, buy some nice taunts. A hat is a hat, a killstreak weapon just temporarily tracks how good you are, but a taunt like the conga can give you many laughs, e.g. doing the conga to the intelligence and back on 2Fort.

Why would you advise against the only useful items and instead tell him to get the most worthless things that you can barely ever use and they get you killed? Are you trolling?

well nothing he said is "useful" per say, as he said, a hat is a hat, a killstreak weapon is mainly to temporarily boast in the killfeed about how good you're doing (and get a sheen if you're using specialized). i mean, even strange weapons don't really have much use other than they are weapons but hey they track your kills, and i can see the appeal of that, but still kinda useless.
now taunts aren't useful either, but they can be used to have lots of fun with some friends, some enemies, and anywhere in between. so i would have to agree with halvedead
