How to permanently disable HDR?
HDR keeps turning on for me, how do I disable it for good? It causes my monitor to get the pink/black checkerboard of no texture after a while which can ONLY be fixed by turning it off in the settings.

I've tried this, but closing & relaunching the game resets the HDR so it's reenabled for some reason.

Have you tried putting it in the launch options of the game?

Alright I found a solution to the problem.
  • Go to the TF2 install location.

  • Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg

  • Open "autoexec.cfg"

  • Search for 'mat_hdr_level' - it will either be at 1 or 2. Change it to 0 and save the file. Exit.

Done. Fixed the problem for me, closing the game and restarting it keeps HDR off instead of re-enabling it.
