Mics and Voice chat sounds like a chipmunk or a duck
I am a Mac user and ever since the latest update for the microphones and the "codec", i have been having troubles of using the microphone as it sounds terriable and I cannot transmit my voice to other players as I sound like somebody being chocked and having a very high pitch voice at the same time. If value or somebody can direct me how to fix this problem, that will be great!

The software used for the gamechat apparently isn't compatible with Macs anymore Like everything. Nothing anybody can do until Valve updates the software.

Ok then thank you. I guess ill have to wait until the Valve team can fix then.

As of the last update, my in-game voice is completely broken as it appears to be for ALL mac users. (Please be mature and do not lecture about mac not being a gaming platform...lol) Anyways, voice sounds like a chipmunk and cuts in and out. Have reinstalled, deleted cfg and cloud settings, changed headsets, mics, etc...it's clearly JUST TF2. Everything else works great with my microphones, headsets, etc.

Yeah I agree. Even doing that will do nothing. We just have to wait for value to fix it which bloddy hell could take years!

This isn`t just a Mac issue. I`m having the same issue using Windows 10. Can any other Windows users verify this please?

Yes im on Windows 10 as well and am experiencing the same issue.
At first thought is was a messed up config or corrupted file on my server but after a reinstall and some debugging i was at a loss.
I think this is a Valve issue and theres nothing we can do about it on our end.
For now i just disabled voice chat until a fix is pushed.

Well If this is also a Windows issue, I guess we just wait. A lot of people have been complaining about this and its still happening. If nobody has any idea on how to manuelly fix this without valve, we cant do anything at this stage
