Question about strange count transfer tool

Can I transfer kills from an awper hand onto a normal sniper rifle?

No, because the AWPER hand is it's own weapon.

Just like how the Original and the RL can't be transfered between.

As long as both items are strange and go in the same equip slot on the same class then yes it will work.

Botkillers are just reskins, so yes they would work.

No that's not remotely correct.

It has to be the same item, or reskin of the same item.

Just like you can't transfer Saps on a Strange Sapper to a Strange RTR.

The Strange Count Transfer Tool is an item which allows the user to transfer stat counts between two Strange-quality items of the same base type . It can also be used to transfer Strange counts between Strange Parts, provided that both weapons involved in the process have the same part attached to them for which the count is to be transferred.

I know this thread is old but, I have a question that hasn't been answered yet. I rarely ever use strange count transfer tools, so my question is: can I transfer strange stats from a "Silver Botkiller Flame Thrower Mk. II" to a "Carbonado Botkiller Flame Thrower Mk. I"? I'm curious.
