Jetpack vs Detonator

Anyone else think that the new jetpack might cause the detonator to go obsolete because it looks like it can cover more distance than detonator jumps.

Everyone seems to be presuming the jetpack is an equppable item or secondary.

It might just be a Yeti game mode item or something.

Assuming anyone ever used the Detonator since the Flare Gun exists.

Detonator will still be good at hitting crowds of people at a far distance and hitting engineers behind defenses.

The Jetpack will be good for fast assaults I am thinking. I do think they are going to make it so the new flame thrower is a machine gun though. He may be able to fly longer then showed in the video to. So he may be shooting at people from above a lot.

Also noticed in the video Pyro is wearing new boots with the jet pack. Those may ether be cosmetic or anti fall damage boots.

Question that I've been wondering for a while, does Detonator knock back robots, including Giants, in MvM, like Scorch Shot does? If so, I'm going to start using it more.

the detonator is just the higher skill version of the scorch shot. It has a higher flare jump and can light almost as many people on fire as the scorch shot. I use it all the time
