How to turn off the hats?

i dont like to see hats anymore, my pc is a potato and i heard that if i turn off hats, the games will run better.

just lower your settings there is no way to turn off hats. and if your having issues its defiantly not the hats, either your settings are too high (probably), your computer is really that bad (but im playing on a mac from 2009 and my game runs pretty well on normal settings ((nothing chaged about it))) or it could just be your ping

there was a no hats mod, but you'll have to see if it got updated

and the tf2 mate site it helped me a lot. i could play a whole match with frames between 20 and 50 most of time. much better than 2 fps lol. thx for the help anyway guys!
