Applying Decal Tool without gradient?
Sorry if this is a bit of a newbie question, I just don't tinker with decal items that much. I was wondering what the best way to go about removing the gradient from my decal items would be? I'm aware that its possible to apply images without having to alter their color, I just don't know the best way to do it.

And due to my paranoia and lack of knowledge towards the VAC system, I'm worried if tampering with files to allow it would someone put my account in jeopardy. I just need a bit of input on this to ease my concerns.

I apologize again if this is a newbie question.

Nice but... is it visible for only yourself or with everyone.

everyone sees it as long as it's applied properly
the images are stored on the item servers, and the game is what tries to change the colors
but if you trick the game into not messing with the image, the server will keep the full color decal once the image is sent to the server by the game

the guide above does just that

there's another way that involved programs that directly hook the game, but it's the same kind of thing as cheats, so vac doesn't like that

I tried this and it doesnt seem to have worked? It still wants me to apply the gradients. Im not sure what else I could do.

try dragging the slider all the way to the side
doublecheck file locations and resolution/filetype
