tf2 failed to lock vertex buffer in cmeshdx8 lockvertexbuffer. PLEASE HELP!

When i try to load the game it begins to start and then an error pops up failed to lock vertex buffer in cmeshdx8 lockvertexbuffer.

I am using Linux Mint, Worked for me also by typing -dxlevel 91 in launch option.

I know I shouldn't have but when I googled my issue this thread came up on top and just to make sure it also helps other Linux users by grabbing their attention... Best them resolve the issue than uninstall the game 👍😀


Note: it's easy for Linux users to mess up their OS trying to fix an issue.

What graphics card and operating system are you using? You could try using DXVK/Vulkan (I think on Windows you'll have to put -vulkan in your launch options)
