Is TF2 Classic Deathmatch still a thing?

Cause Overwatch just added a deathmatch mode which functions the same way.

Not saying they ripped another thing from tf2, it's just nice to see them aspiring to fanmade creations now.

One, problem I do have though is that overwatch has like 25 heroes when you're only gonna wanna play Roadhog. tf2cdm has only one class and like 69 guns over the map allowing for real diversity. I guess it works better in this reguard, whatever floats your boat kids.

The characters in Overwatch are basically just like walking weapons. Instead of picking the weapon, you pick the character. When you abstract it, there's technically not much of a difference.

The characters in Overwatch are basically just like walking weapons. Instead of picking the weapon, you pick the character. When you abstract it, there's technically not much of a difference.

I guess you're right in that reguard, too bad heroes like mercy, etc are obolete for extremely useless DM ability.

That's the main issue I see with the mode, having underperforming characters. That would be solved in team deathmatch, though.

If you compare single-player DM to TF2, though, you'd have classes like the Medic and Spy who would underperform anyways, so we're back to the same issue in this game as well.

Some of the character have a lot more power than others character for a Deathmatch and your best strategies it to run.
