Free items servers

I just tested a "free items server" and didn't expect it to work the way it does. It did and I got a bunch of achievements & achievement items... what do I do now? Will I get VAC banned?

No, you will not get banned if you use !giveitems on the achievement servers. I've used achievement servers in the past and not got banned for it, the only problem is that it just looks sketchy on low hour profiles also the achievements end up getting time stamped in the same day so anyone viewing the achievements you got can point out you cheated them.

What does get you banned is running SAM (Steam Achievement Manager) on a VAC secured servers like a valve server. That is what can get you banned for achievement cheating.

I thought !giveall was the worst but I looked it up and found out that servers with the command !giveitems are run by hackers and that entering that command gives them access to your entire inventory and can take whatever they want...


It happened to my friend a few weeks ago and Valve hasn't been able to fix it. I would expect most of your items to be gone it a few days

It dosent, he's just trying to make you worried, I was stupid and Did it on my first day, 350 hours later and nothing has gone missing
