I believe there was an option to do that in the settings.

There is a custom hud that removes the hud entirely called the movie hud or something. I believe Blu uses it

Console command: cl_DrawHud 0
Works only when: sv_Cheats = 1

It makes sense because once you turn it off you can't turn it back on without a bind because it removes the ability to pause, chat or open the console.
