Huds refuse to work.

I've been having a weird problem with TF2 recently, even after clearing out my custom folder and leaving NOTHING but the hud left, they refuse to work, and I'm sick of the ugly ass stock hud. A little help would be apreciated.

I have the hud in my custom folder, with absolutely nothing else, absolutely no chance of conflict keeping it from working, and still I'm stuck with the stock TF2 hud. Saying it's infuriating is an understatement.

Did you extract it from the zip file.

Remove it and re-install it. Might work.

Extracted from the zip file: Twice. I deleted it then extracted it a second time in desperation. Remove it and re-install it: TF2 or the Hud? Because I've tried that with the hud already. Outdated: It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Toonhud. It's not outdated.

Make sure you don't have a second folder like this:steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\rayshud\rayshud\materials
Instead it should be like this: steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\rayshud\materials

How can you screw up Toonhud? Here's to reset TF2 to default: This'll delete all mods, huds, configs and any changes you've made to TF2.

Disable Steam Cloud, top left click Steam, Settings, Cloud, uncheck Cloud Sync

Go to Steam folder, steamapps, common, Team Fortress 2, tf, delete custom and cfg.

Go to Library, right click TF2, Properties, Set Launch Options, input -autoconfig

Start up TF2, everything should be default. Exit TF2.

REMOVE -AUTOCONFIG AND REENABLE STEAM CLOUD

Install HUD as normally in custom. Reinstall configs if any. See if it works.

Extract it, go into the "toonhud_8-5" folder, copy "toonhud" folder inside that "toonhud_8-5" folder, go into steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom, paste that whole folder in.
