I'll just make my own set
This. There's a reason why fan/unofficial Lego sites have things like M1A1 Abrams Tanks for sale. For all I know, I could make a website selling custom Lego TF2 sets.
Ooh... MvM robots based on Bionicle/Knights Kingdom pieces, or a small rendition of 2Fort. Maybe even customized minifigures.
If i move to Russia.
The way how I have it planned, at least if I were to make it:
Kind of like the Lego Architecture sets. No minifigures, but rather a small detail design on it. It will still be a huge set, but it would be nice to build. I think the only problem would be building the basement and sewers.
Keep in mind:
The Lego Death Star II consisted of 3449 pieces, and the Collector's Millenium Falcon consists of 5195 pieces.
A smaller version of 2Fort without minifigures, if I can make an assumption... Would be 1012 pieces. This is not including spare pieces. Since the Lego 2Fort set would be isometric, there should be an even number of pieces.
