Thoughts: The Widowmaker & Short Circuit

From my point of view, the use of these aforementioned weapons seem to be an uncommon sight compared to the others in the Engineer's arsenal. There may be a number of factors behind this, but I'd add that this is for the commentators to provide.

I'm uncertain if this is due to the others presenting themselves as better alternatives, but on my part, in regards to the Widowmaker, I find it to be rather reliable as a primary weapon, whilst also serving as a mildly potent method of replenishing metal.

Also, while their use & reliability differ from the other weapons, I've been pondering on the community's views on the Widowmaker, as well as the Short Circuit. With that in mind, please share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Widowmaker works well with Combat Engineer, if you have a good aim, but shotgun is mostly safer option, since you rarely need to shoot more than 6 times to kill an opponent, especially if you have a pistol.

Short Circuit is decent support weapon if your team has more than one Engineer, but it's not that good when alone, because just fixing your shield while Wrangler shielded is usually better, and with Short Circuit you can still be easily focused down.

I miss the days of 50 metal per use SC. Back when it took learning the weapon to use instead of holding down M2.

The Widowmaker is more of an offensive weapon for me, and the short circuit is a tool for when the other team has a lot of soilders and demos

Id use Widowmaker over any other shotguns just because of its "+10% damage when shoting sentry's target",since i like using Jag and a Lv 1 sentry over mini-sentry,Its my preference

if im not using it its because i have Short circuit equipped,i mean,having 2 weapons that cost metal to use is a dangerous combination,but i always use short circuit when on defense

overall,these 2 weapons are a must have to me

Both are fine as they are.

Short circut is just less used because of the Wrangler.

I love the SC when I'm using the EE, getting behind enemy lines and being able to take out Soldier rockets, and such really helps with my survival.

Now the WM, I only really use it in zombie survival community servers, but it's a good weapon nonetheless.
